Canva is one of my favorite tools to create graphics and our clients are quickly becoming as obsessed as I am, too! Even for our friends who feel a bit uncomfortable with technology Canva is a game change because it's so simple to use yet incredibly powerful in its features.
But no matter how much you love or hate tech, we all have a few things in common:
- We don't have any extra time to waste
- We've all gotten a little carried away tweaking and editing, spending too much time designing and not enough time on Income Producing Activities
And when I say we, I'm totally including myself! So if you're nodding along you're not alone.
That's why I'm so excited to share this Canva hack with you today. It's one of my favorite ways to save time and keep myself from trying to reinvent the wheel every time I open up Canva, while still creating beautifully branded, cohesive graphics that elevate my business.
And that Canva hack is using pre-made designs as master templates! They could be designs that you pre-made, designs you got for free, or even designs you purchased (like our Full Circle System Canva templates).
Here's how it works:
Save one version of the design and call it a “Master Template” and then you never edit that original design! Instead, whenever you want to use that template you create a NEW design in Canva and then insert just the page(s) you want to use.
Once you insert the page(s) you want to use you can tweak and edit as needed – but you save a ton of time because the overall layout is already set up, the colors are already in place, and all you need to do is make minor adjustments instead of creating a totally new design from a blank page.
This also makes it super easy to create designs and graphics that all look really polished and on-brand. You're always starting with the same general templates so your designs all feel cohesive, like they represent the same business (as they should!) This is important for brand recognition and helps develop a strong connection between your unique business and your customers, helping you stand out from other people who all represent the same company and look similar.
