How to Attract People You Actually Want to Do Business With

In network marketing, it can be REALLY tempting to try and sell to everyone and anyone, especially when you are selling skincare.

You've probably heard the saying “if they have skin they need skincare” and while, yeah, technically that's true, from a marketing perspective that mindset is doing you absolutely no favors.

Here's the thing – when you're trying to sell to everyone, your message becomes watered down. That kind of marketing is comparable to grasping at straws, hoping to manage to snap one…. any one… without any real plan for how you're going to actually make it happen.

Instead, figure out who your ideal customer is. And I don’t mean just the demographic, like “female ages 25-40”.

I mean get specific – something like “busy moms ages 26 to 46 looking to help their skin age gracefully and find simple makeup routines that make their mornings easier” or “women age 22 to 35 who love to stay on top of the latest beauty and skincare trends and want to be in the know the latest and greatest and love experimenting with their routine.

Once you know who your ideal clients are, write your social media marketing posts like you are talking directly to to them.

For example, in the “busy moms” example above, we’d never write about “The 10 piece skincare routine that will change your life”. It's just not relevant to that client – instead, you might write about “the 3 products every busy mom needs on her counter to simplify her morning routine.”

In the “latest beauty trends” example you wouldn't write “how to simplify your morning skincare routine.” Instead, you might write about “the 3 upcoming beauty trends you need to try now.”

See how I'm speaking very specifically to do different people who have two different lifestyles?

When you really hone-in on your messaging, you start attracting the people that you WANT to do business with.
